MIKI'S  JOURNEY

Traveling to shows with her mother and their collies,  she finished her  first AKC champion at age 12, and an obedience title the next year. In 1974, she fell in love with the ancient Tibetian breed of Lhasa Apsos.This led to Paul & Lois Voigt of Wellington Lhasas , who proved to be a bottomless wealth of knowledge and lifelong friends.

As life  carried her through it's ups and downs, many wonderful dogs were a part of it.  Her precious lhasas  continued to be by her side as she raised her four children and studied at the Minnehaha Institute of Art and the University of Wisconsin- Superior.  She is now a  great grandma! Arthritis  forced her  to scale back on the grooming needed to keep Ihasas in full coat. This  led  to the Papillons, whom she'd  long admired for their graceful looks and tremendous athleticism.

JENNIE  also began her lifelong love of dogs and competing by attending shows with her mother, Miki. As a teenager, she placed 2nd at the National Lhasa Apso Specialty show in Jr Showmanship  and was ranked  9th in  the nation in the 4-H Dog Project . She has been a member and officer of the Twin Cities Lhasa Apso Club, and the Minnesota Purebred Dog Breeders Association as well as an approved state 4H Dog Project leader, trainer and judge . Currently, she is working with her papillon Rhett to finish his championship, canine good citizen certificate and trick dog titles. She also hopes to compete in rally, scent work, and barn dog events.  They finished their  first UKC title in  drag racing in 2024. A mother of four with a nearly empty nest and a bachelor’s degree in education, she is excited to be  more involved with the dogs again. 

M'RAN BRYTH PAPILLONS 

Our goals remain the same with our papillons as they were with the other breeds in our lives --- to maintain the unique qualities of the breed while producing  dogs of sound quality, solid temperament and strong spirit ! We look forward to sharing our Papillons with you!
